These tools are built by Yasmin Karim, founder of XportStack and Popsmalaya, a Malaysian snack brand shipping to 35 countries across 6 continents over eight years. Every tool here exists because Yasmin needed it while building Popsmalaya, and couldn't find a version that didn't assume she had a customs broker on staff.

The HS Code Lookup exists because she repeatedly had to negotiate classification at destination. Whether her granola bars were 1905.31 or 2106.90 changed the duty rate materially. The Duty Calculator exists for a different reason. Yasmin once shipped a container and discovered the applied duty rate was multiples higher than the rate she had quoted. The goods had already landed. Both are mistakes you only need to make once. And both happen when the tools you are using assume too much knowledge.
